After graduating from Mt. Pleasant Area, I pursued my teaching degree.
I received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the
University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. My Master's Degree in Mathematics Education
came from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I have been trained and tested
in art throughout my college education at both universities. I received my
Art certification in the spring of 2004.
Before coming to Donegal, I have taught Elementary Art in grades 1-6,
at Rumbaugh and Norvelt. I have also taught sixth grade Language Arts at Norvelt.
Before being hired full-time, I was a substitute teacher in the district for nearly 10 years.
The time I spent as a substitute has provided me with a wide variety of
experiences in the classroom at various grade levels. I arrived in fourth grade
at Donegal in 2008.
There are many new and wonderful things to learn about. I love to
travel and explore different places just to learn from them.
I am excited to share these experiences with the class, and to
gain suggestions from them for future activities.
